The Deputy can look after your rental properties at a reasonable fee whilst you are away on holiday, sick or in hospital or have the misfortune to have an accident, knowing that an experienced property manager is in charge.
Meet your tenants.
Provide a 24hr 7 day a week contact service.
Inspect your property(s) at least once during your absence.
Handle any maintenance issues - using either your contractors or arrange others.
Communicate with you by email or phone should any major issues arise.
Deal with non-payment of rent, providing you inform The Deputy.
You must comply with the Residential Tenancies Act 1986 that states that all private landlords are liable to a fine if they fail to appoint an agent when they travel overseas for more than 21 days (Section 16a).
